Having visited Butlins as a child It was the first holiday I wanted to take my daughter on 9 yrs ago and we have returned to Butlins at least 4 times a year since would be more if school/work permitted.
A lot has changed since I was a child but the idea is the same a holiday with lots of entertainment and mostly included in the price friendly redcoats and characters that makes it special for children, Over the years we have made some great friends from Butlins who we meet up with yearly also met some great staff at Butlins both in entertainment and services ,we keep in touch with a couple who always make the holiday extra special for my daughter and reply to all messages she sends them .
Over the years I have seen many people complain about silly things but I personally have only ever had 1 problem that the staff went out of their way to resolve when the occupants of the room next door were smoking and it was drifting through the partition door they moved us to different accomodation within the hr and were really polite and helpful.
We have visited all of the Resorts with Skegness being the most as it is closest and Minehead second as we love the surrounding area Bognor is equally as good.
Never in the years have we gone have we had trouble finding anything to do if anything there is that much to do we cant fit it all in even when we have extended our stay for an extra 4 days whilst on holiday as we were having such a great time we did not want to leave this we have done on a few occasions.
The last 3 years we have gone in the october half term for the Halloween break which is absolutley superb with halloween decorations and character shows for all ages only disadvantage to this break is that it sells out every yr and the resort Is so busy you really have to be there early to get in to some shows.
Butlins customer service whether on resort or their call centre is absolutely amazing never came across customer service like it if they say they will contact you at a certain time they will without fail. if they cant help they will find the person that can every time.
We have tried many other holiday companies and none come close to Butlins I only wish we could go more often or lived closer then i feel we would be there every free weekend.
Their evening entertainment cast shows are excellent as good if not better than some west end shows I have seen. The cast are amazing they travel between all three resorts doing two shows a night twice a week at each resort these two shows are definately not to be missed they are amazing shows from such a talented group of performers.
We start counting down the weeks till we return as soon as we return home.

I go to Butlins at Skegness at least four times every year and it`s brilliant! There`s a Funfair, A spar (for the female adults) A swimming pool & some Wooden Parks.
There is a giant white tent called the Skyline Pavilion.
There`s plenty to do on a night you can play on money machines,Watch the shows that they`ve produced or go and visit the shops in Centre Stage & Reds.
I encourage other young children to go to Butlins because there`s loads of things to do and you`ll never get bored.
